Family Dinner

What a good day today was. John got to sleep in, and I got some time to relax. Then we cleaned up and planned how we are going to build our deck. A bit more than what we originally thought, but oh well. Then the parents came out for dinner. Pretty good Sunday, I'd say.

Then we watched "Hall Pass" and laughed our asses off. Stupid stupid movie. But so funny!

Now John is forcing me into watching "Country Strong" and I'm about ready to slit my wrists.

Anyways, night!

Bridal Shower

My dear friend Ashley is getting married next weekend (the wedding that I am doing the photos for?) and her soon to be mother-in-law threw her a bridal shower today. It wasn't necessarily a surprise, but the guests were. I was the big surprise. For some reason, Ashley thought I would be too busy to come. What a turkey. She's one of my best friends! Why would I be too busy? Just because it was in Dawson Creek? Whatever!

Bad Weight

Ugh. So, I haven't weighed since June sometime. It's been a while. I knew it wasn't going to be good, but I didn't think it was going to be this bad.

I'm not telling numbers, but just know that it is B.A.D.

So, the long weekend is coming up. I'm going to enjoy myself, but at the same time, I'm going to re-read the 17 Day Diet book that is sitting on my shelf, and I'm going to start doing it again. I need to. This is ridiculous.

I want to go hiking today, but we'll see how the trails are. Apparently they are closed, but I guess I could go to Taylor to the golf course. Have to talk to the momma.

Anyways, I need to get ready for work. Blah.

Blonde Moment

So, I had a blonde moment today while backing up the truck. I backed into a pole. Don't worry, no damage on the pole, just a dent in my back bumper. Eff. What a lovely day.

Raspberry Bushes

I have raspberry bushes! Yay! Grandpa gave me some shoots, and yesterday, Mom and I built a box, got some peat moss and potting soil, and planted them! There won't be anything until next year, but I'm very excited.

We also planted some flowers. I know it's late in the season, but I was in money stress mode during the right part of the season, so I had to take what I could get. Not much to choose from. But, I have flowers!

Anyways. TIme to cook dinner!

Anniversary Surprise

As you know, yesterday was my and John's anniversary. Two years married! I came home to quite a surprise from our roommate. I knew that she was planning on spending the night at a friend's house, but nothing like what I walked into.

John and I were definitely appreciative. Since we just got home from vacation, we didn't really plan anything, so this was a nice surprise. We ordered dinner from BPs, drank some wine, watched TV, and had a nice cool bath. It gets so damn hot in our house at night!

Anyways. It was a good day. Another year before we can celebrate!

Back to REAL LIFE

I'm back! I've caught up on all of my blog posts, and I'm here!

While I was gone, I was going to update via my BB, but then I decided that I would just type up my blog in a Word document, and post as I could. I had internet while I was in Golden at my grandparent's house, so I did a bit then, but I was relaxing too much to worry about it! And this way I was able to share photos as well, instead of waiting.

I should be able to keep up now. I'm actually sitting in bed, watching TV, drinking coffee and catching up. I should start getting ready for work but I really don't want to. Not that I'm dreading going to work or anything, but I just don't feel like having a shower, doing my hair and makeup, and making a lunch. Basically all of the things that I need to do before I go to work.

At least I'm not as bad off as John. One of the guys gave his notice while he was gone, and two of the office girls quit, but were talked into staying. It's going to be stressful for him. The guy who quit actually was taking quite a load off of his plate, and now it's going to come right back onto him. I don't expect him to be very happy for the next few weeks. I can just imagine the stress level that he's going to have for the next month or so. I think we will be camping a lot.

And, today is our two year anniversary! Two years married already! I can hardly believe it! Seems like just yesterday (not!). Ok, maybe not yesterday, but these last two years have flown by. I don't think we're going to be celebrating this year, which is ok. I don't mind. As long as John remembers to say something, it's all good!

Anyways. I need to get ready to go! It's probably going to take me longer than normal! I guess today might be a hair back kind of day!
